MplsStPaul Magazine, January 2009
Just this past January, one of my pieces was pictured in Midwest Home Magazine as a suggestion for brightening up the dull days of winter. "Our sure-fire way to cure the winter blues? Flowers! But because bieweekly bouquets of the real stuff can get a bit pricey and the silk variety become dust-catchers, opt for a melange of the decorative plates with the resin-coated dried variety. Created by TC-based artist Maggie Sullivan, these one-of-a-kind treasures feature pressed and dried flowers on recycled, refinished, resin-coated plates and trays." This plate was made using tulips and columbine from 2008 summer's harvest.

The Giving Back article addressed Benevolent Acorn Gallery, on St. Paul's Grand Ave. which had just opened for business. The table pictured was the first sale made at the gallery!

My first mention in a magazine! "The shop features antique Art Deco-era furniture, painting, and charming accessories such as the pressed flower tray pictured (by Twin Cities artist Maggie Sullivan)." I was thrilled to oblige the magazine's request for photos of my work. This tray was stunning.
