Special event flowers:
As soon as possible after the event, a few flowers (3-4 of each kind) are chosen and delivered to me to begin the drying process with the freshest flowers possible. (It is possible to work with dried flowers from a previous event but the cost increases due to added special handling of the petals.) My process includes drying the flowers, designing the piece, laying out the flowers and applying several layers of resin to finish the surface. Drying depends upon the flowers, some are workable after 2 weeks, while some take longer to ensure they are thoroughly dry. Any moisture in the flowers before the application of the resin, could destroy them. The average time to complete a piece is 3 months.
Special order & Using your keepsake:
The process begins when I have all of the details confirmed with you (choice, color and size of item, as well as, requests for specific flowers or color of blooms to be used) either in person or email.
